Just in time for the 2019 Hangout Music Fest, dating app Tinder has added a “Festival Mode” intended to make it easier to find a face in the crowd you’re in at the moment.
Tinder’s own blog describes the feature as a way for festival patrons to “find your crowd before you get there.” It allows users to add a “badge” for specific festivals to their profiles ahead of time “so you can match and chat before you make your flower crown.” Festival Mode may also give users a shot at perks such as VIP upgrades and swag.
It appears that Hangout will be one of the first two fests to benefit from the new feature, along with EDC Las Vegas. Others include Bonnaroo and Firefly.
