Ariana Grande’s “thank u, next” has eclipsed Youtube and Vevo streaming records, as the Mean Girls-inspired music video has massive numbers across digital streaming platforms.
The treack has officially broken the record for most views on a YouTube video in 24 hours. Grande’s visual boasts an astounding total of 47 million views and counting, blowing past the benchmark previously established by BTS, whose “Idol” video reached 45 million views in the 24 hours preceding its debut back in August.
“thank u, next” is on track to break Vevo’s record and clear 50 million views by the time its first 24 hours are up. Grande is understandably thrilled about this.
Ari had a special message to her Arinators and fans around the world after learning about her record breaking views.
p.s. we set a new @vevo record. that’s wild. i love u. thank u.
