According to Billboard.com, fans learned about the news about Kitt’s miscarriage through a tweet from the Backstreet Boys member on Monday evening.

In response to a fan sending condolences, Carter mentioned that it “was a little sister for Odin,” referring to the couple’s first child, their 2-year-old son. He also expressed doubts about being able to take the stage in Peru, but later let his fans know that he would, in fact, be performing:
