American singer-songwriter Demi Lovato was hospitalized in Los Angeles, California, Tuesday as a result of an apparent heroin overdose,
TMZ reported, citing a law enforcement sources, Lovato, 25, was found unconscious and treated with Narcan, an emergency treatment for narcotics overdoses, at her home in Hollywood Hills sometime before noon local time.
She was then taken to the hospital. Lovato had been reported out celebrating a friend’s birthday the night before.

TMZ.com now updates reports at 1:48 PM PT Paramedics found Demi unconscious when they arrived at her home. 1:28 PM PT — Law enforcement sources tell us Demi was treated with Narcan — an emergency treatment for narcotic overdoses — at her home. We’ve confirmed the OD occurred at her house in the Hollywood Hills.
According to People, the 25-year-old is currently “OK and stable” after being treated with Narcan, an emergency medication that blocks the effects of opioids and is used in the event of a narcotics overdose.
