Florida Police Delivers Pizza to Hungry Young Boy Who Called 911

Locking your phone is a valuable feature on most smart phones, beware of even smarter kids as they could grab your phone and make an unadvised call.

According to MyNews13.comofficers from the Sanford Police Department were dispatched to perform a check on a young boy who called 911 saying he was hungry. When officers arrived on the scene, the dispatcher had alerted them that the boy wanted to order pizza. Police spoke to the boy’s older sister who told them her brother had used the phone without her permission.

After officers determined that the young boy was in no harm, they  explained to him that 911 should only be used for emergencies. The officers left but did not return to the police station. Instead, they went to Pizza Hut and picked up a large pie which they personally delivered to the boy and his sister.

The Sanford Police Department shared a photo on Facebook of the three officers and young boy, who seemed more interested in the pizza than posing for the photo.
