Seems that Bey has been busy, according to some reports.
Citing sources close to the situation, Us Weekly report that the star is especially focused on her stint as Nala in Disney’s live-action ‘The Lion King’ – which hits theaters on July 19th.
However, she’s apparently on two other projects; the first being music-related.
Interestingly, the source asserts that it’s not an album:
“She does not have a full album on the way, but she has recorded a couple of new tracks [for] a deluxe album filled with old songs.”
Also reportedly in the pipeline is pairing with Netflix for documentary project. It “will be tied to her Coachella 2018 performance” and boast additional footage.

Bey is renown for dropping new music via the album medium and is very rarely one to revel in nostalgia, so new material in a different format (greatest hits compilation?) seems a little unorthodox for her. That said, in recent years, unorthodox has been the name of her game. So, who knows? There’s also scope for this to be a distraction ahead of something totally unexpected. Again, time will tell.
As for the doc, we’re all for it! Coachella, from our standpoint, serves as one of her greatest productions to date. Hence, chronicling it in on a platform as pervasive as Netflix and with deeper insights into its creation is genius.
