TMZ.com recently uncovered a clip of Cardi B. in a sketch from Off the Rip, lead by Wild N Out‘s Rip Michaels.
According to the story. in the sketch (recorded three years ago), Cardi stars as Coretta Scott King in a skit dubbed “The Real Housewives of the Civil Rights Movement,” and argues with several other women over the civil rights leader, at one point referring to Dr. King as a “hoe.” King’s daughter, Bernice King, and eldest son, Martin Luther King III, have spoken up against the sketch, with Bernice King deeming it “repulsive.”
Soon after, however, she tweeted at Cardi, thanking the rapper for “apologizing for the skit,” and noting that she anticipates speaking with Cardi “soon.” King III followed shortly after, stating that he appreciates Cardi’s “quick realization that the skit was in very poor taste.”
