Fifth Harmony Member Drops Solo Single and Earns Highest Charted Debut Title

Normani Kordei has officially made history with her new Khalid collaboration.

“Love Lies,” which was released earlier this year for the Original Motion Picture “Love, Simon.” movie soundtrack, has earned for Kordei the honor of highest first solo United States chart debut by a girl group member ever.

The track debuted at No. 43, the site reports. By contrast, girl group-gone-solo act Beyonce’s first solo single, “’03 Bonnie & Clyde” debuted at 56, while Kelly Rowland’s “Dilemma” first charted at 53.

Kordei joins Camila Cabello and Lauren Jauregui as Fifth harmony members with their own solo efforts. Could there be more Fifth Harmony members planning solo debuts?
